DODECA - Vivid Sydney Light Walk
Designed by Dimitrios Tsiokaras and Ky Snyder, DODECA is a gyroscopic installation that explores the beauty of light through the interplay of colour, reflection, shadow and motion. It pays homage to the pure geometric form of a regular polyhedron – a three-dimensional solid figure in which each side is a flat surface with straight edges. DODECA has been commissioned by Destination NSW for Vivid Sydney 2016 and sponsored by Darkon and Electrolight.

"QYDJ is a surreal, dystopic tale of liberation expressed through a hyper-visual escape sequence. The beauty of the natural scenery is ruptured by obscure ritual to create an alternative sphere. Intense action emphasises the garment's maneuoverability. The freeing our perceptions enforced temporality is just one hope of Hommeworks Future Couture Utiliware available now from www.hommework.com.au." - entropico.com.au
A BED FOR THE NIGHT - White Night Melbourne - Installation Proposal
A Bed For The Night is a collaboration between Dimitrios Tsiokaras, landscape designer Caitlin Perry (setsquarestudio.com) and creative writer and producer Gemma Leigh-Dodds on behalf of Right Now (an independent, volunteer organisation committed to initiating a dialogue about human rights - rightnow.org.au) for the 2014 Melbourne White Night Festival.
An interactive, illuminated installation comprised of a steel structure and a custom moulded plastic construction meant to highlight the often forgotten alternative use the city's alleyways have, shelter at night.
On the weekend that central Melbourne's streets are visited the most, A Bed For The Night attempts to remind visitors that just around the corner from where they are reveling is someone else's refuge. The glowing diffused plastic emulates the texture and form of a soft mattress, but is hard and stiff to the touch in order to highlight the reality that living on the street or not having a bed to call your own is a hard existence.
PHILSONG CHURCH - Secret Garden Festival
A tribute to Phil Collins and the mysticism of the 80's, Philsong played with the theme of god and celebrity, mixing ideas of all that is sacred with that which is sacrilege. It represented the spiritual heartland for many festival-goers. A place to contemplate about Another Day In Paradise.
A custom construction using locally cut bamboo, hay, fabric and a lot of light rope, the church also included a custom made light-box to bathe attendees with Phil's shining essence.
