LM-02

LM-02 investigates the alchemy of material innovation, crafting surfaces and structures that transform light through paradoxical qualities—simultaneously recognizable and surprising. This work manipulates perception by harnessing familiar optical phenomena to create unexpected luminous experiences, challenging viewers to reconsider their relationship with illumination and materiality.

LM-01

LM-01 fuses luminescence and sculptural form into a singular archetypal presence, where light becomes inseparable from its vessel. Drawing on the primal resonance of prehistoric artifacts, the piece manifests through materials and silhouettes that evoke ancestral memory, creating a contemporary artifact where illumination and substance exist not as separate elements but as a unified primordial expression.

OB-01

OB-01 is a sculptural series that investigates the tension between mass and movement, drawing inspiration from biomorphic structures found in nature. These works capture fleeting organic gestures in solid form, inviting viewers to experience the boundary where abstract concepts materialize into tangible presence.

PH-05 - Submission - Melbourne Fringe Furniture Exhibition 2013

PH-05 emerged from extensive exploration of folded forms, bridging the precision of origami with the structural elegance of wooden dinosaur skeleton models. The design transforms the functional lamp into an interactive art piece that reveals its magic when illuminated.

Crafted from laser-cut plywood and hand-folded Tyvek, PH-05 invites user participation through its assembly process. Each Tyvek shade is individually created by Dimitrios, offering a flame-retardant and tear-resistant diffuser that appears to float weightlessly upon the wooden framework, casting intricate patterns of light and shadow when lit."

The revision maintains all the key information while creating a more cohesive narrative that emphasizes both the design process and the user experience, with added attention to the lamp's interaction with light.
