Dimitrios Tsiokaras is an Australian Lighting Designer and Artist whose work seamlessly bridges the technical precision of architectural lighting with the expressive potential of illumination as an artistic medium.

As a Senior Lighting Designer at Electrolight's Melbourne office, Dimitrios leads multidisciplinary teams in conceptualizing and executing sophisticated lighting designs for hotels, public spaces, restaurants, and both commercial and residential buildings. His approach is informed by his academic foundation—a Bachelor of Design in Interior Design with Honours and a Master of Design in Lighting from the University of Technology, Sydney—where he explored light's transformative impact on spatial experience and human perception.

Beyond his commercial practice, Dimitrios maintains an active engagement with photography, using the medium to study the interplay of light, shadow, and form. This visual investigation extends into his current artistic explorations with sculptures, furniture, craft, and illuminated objects, where he experiments with light as both subject and material.

His diverse professional background includes roles as Assistant Studio Manager at CHRISTOPHER BOOTS and lecturer at UTS and RMIT. Dimitrios has independently designed lighting installations for notable events including Vivid Sydney 2016 and Secret Garden Festival 2012 and 2013. His creative versatility is further evidenced by his contributions to film productions (Entropico's Quit Your Day Job) and theatrical works (Kage's Flesh and Bone and Darlinghurst Theatre Co.'s Torch Song Trilogy) as a production and lighting assistant.
